I always feel better when I’m helping out. I’m more grateful for my time and for the opportunity to help others. When I’m helping others, I try to make myself happier and more grateful for them. If I’m helping other people, I’ll have a positive outlook on life and my self.
I could say the same about all of the other helpers and people in life, but that would be a massive understatement. So I’m going to keep that simple. Acknowledging the happiness others are experiencing could be the most important thing you can do in your life. We want to help as many people as possible feel as happy as possible.
Our Happiness is an ongoing work in progress. That means that sometimes things don’t go as planned for us. But if we’re honest about it, we know that we need to make more progress, that we need to make more mistakes, and that we need to keep on trying until we reach our goal. We all need to work on ourselves.
The first thing that comes to mind for me when I think about those words “happiness” and “make more progress” is the concept of “I need to make more progress.” A person who is happy, and who is pursuing that happiness, is doing what they need to do in order to attain and maintain that happiness. Those who are not happy should be working on themselves. We all need to work on ourselves.
I feel like there is this idea that being happy is a goal. That you have to be happy to achieve happiness. But the reality is, happiness is not something that can be achieved by someone by themselves.
I feel like this idea that happiness is a goal is something that’s been around for a long time. In the ’70s, the writer John Steinbeck wrote a novel called The Grapes of Wrath. In the book, the main character, Ernest Hemingway, is in the grip of the need to accomplish every task in his life. He’s just running around in the streets of New York City trying to find his own happiness.
However, Hemingway can’t let his own happiness get him down. He tries to remind himself that things are just as they were yesterday, and that the days leading up to the day of the book’s publication were full of a lot of anxiety, fear, and loneliness. And he writes about his fears. Hes convinced that he would never be happy, and if he did, it would be because of the things he was worrying about, rather than because of something new.
